Matthew joined the Delta Upsilon staff in May 2023 as Director of Chapter Development. In this role, he will offer chapter operations support to Delta Upsilon's undergraduate chapters, chapter officers and advisors.
Matt has a passion for education, holding an undergraduate degree in anthropology and history, as well as a Master's degree in secondary education. He is a former high school geography teacher for Orange County Public Schools and former Executive Director of the Monticello Academy in Orlando, Florida. He is also the former Chief of Program Success for Ray Dass Learning, a company that focuses on helping 9th-11th grade students obtain National Merit Scholarships. He was recognized as the 2021 Teacher of the Year.
In addition to his role with DU, he serves as a Global Education Ambassador for Education First, an association that hosts the Global Leadership Summit for high school students each year in Europe. He has served as the Chairman for the Orange County Fund for Children and Public Education and Head of Government Relations for the Orange County Classroom Teachers Association. Matt was also involved with the TED-Ed Club and gave a TEDx Talk titled, “How Student Loan Debt Affects Us All” in 2019.
As an undergraduate, Matt was one of the recipients of the DU Educational Foundation's Oak Circle Scholarship in 2010 and an Undergraduate of the Year finalist in 2011. Recently, he was recognized by his own chapter (Florida) when they changed the name of their “Best Brother Award" to the “Matt Panzano Best Brother Award.”

Fun Fact
Matt loves to travel and has visited more than 20 countries so far. In honor of Delta Upsilon, he has a “Dikaia” tattoo written across his shoulder blades.
