Oak Circle Scholarship Applications Open
March 1, 2018 - Applications for Oak Circle Scholarships are now open. Each undergraduate Delta Upsilon chapter is guaranteed one scholarship, while the DU Educational Foundation has additional scholarships to award.
Oak Circle Scholarships are used to cover registration to the Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute (UIFI), hosted annually by the North-American Interfraternity Conference. Each summer, the NIC holds UIFI sessions throughout May, June and July. Each four-day session brings fraternity and sorority members together to advance their leadership potential and work to better their fraternity/sorority communities. All sessions are held at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.
"Delta Upsilon is excited to offer each of our chapters the opportunity to attend this impressive program," says Delta Upsilon Executive Director Justin Kirk, Boise State '00. "UIFI is one of the best leadership programs for fraternity men and sorority women. It is DU's hope to bring lasting change to our communities, and that starts with our undergraduate brothers working to shape the future of Greek Life on their campus. UIFI can help them do that."
In addition to one scholarship for each chapter, additional Oak Circle Scholarships are available through the DU Educational Foundation. These scholarships are funded by the Oak Circle undergraduate giving society.
Priority registration for Oak Circle scholarships ended March 1, but applications are still being accepted. The goal is for each DU chapter/colony to utilize its scholarship. Brothers can apply for scholarships via the DU website. They can apply for UIFI through the NIC.
