Stephannie Bailey Named Delta Upsilon Educational Foundation Senior Director of Philanthropy
The Delta Upsilon Educational Foundation is excited to announce Stephannie Bailey has been named Senior Director of Philanthropy. In this role, Bailey will oversee the management of the Foundation’s major gift program, charging her with the development donor cultivation strategies, as well as stewardship with current and potential donors.
Bailey brings a broad range of knowledge and experience to Delta Upsilon. Early in her career, Bailey served in sales and sales training roles for companies like General Motors and McKesson Provider Technologies. Using those business and educational development skills, she has held executive-level roles with The Leadership Institute – Women with Purpose, Inc. and Matrix Achievement Group. Most notably, from 2008-2014, Bailey served Alpha Gamma Delta International Fraternity & Fraternity Housing Corporation as executive director. In this role, she grew the assets of both entities to the highest levels in their histories, strategically developed business and branding standards, and spearheaded data-driven educational experiences for all members. Bailey holds a bachelor’s degree in management systems and marketing from Kettering University, as well as a master’s in business education from University of Kentucky.
“We are thrilled to have Stephannie join our team,” said Executive Director Justin Kirk. “Having worked in both the business and fraternal communities, her unique perspective and experience will help the Delta Upsilon Educational Foundation tell its story and entice support for the DU mission. Stephannie is a proven leader in the field, and we are confident she will help Delta Upsilon continue to grow and thrive.”
An advocate for the interfraternal community, Bailey has served on the board of directors for the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors (AFA), as well as a member of Delta Upsilon’s President’s Task Force, which helped steer the Fraternity’s current strategic and visionary goals.
“Delta Upsilon continues to be an innovator and leader in the fraternal movement,” said Bailey. “Its ongoing efforts to reframe the fraternal experience and prepare young men for the global society is compelling. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to professionally contribute to this mission.”
Established in 1834, Delta Upsilon is an international men's college fraternity with 82 chapters and colonies across the United States and Canada. The Fraternity, founded at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, is the oldest, non-secret, Greek-letter society and is committed to Building Better Men for a global society through its four founding principles: friendship, character, culture and justice. More than 120,000 men have joined the Delta Upsilon Fraternity since its founding more than 180 years ago.
The Delta Upsilon Educational Foundation was formed in 1949, and is its own 501(c)3 organization. Its mission is to raise tax-deductible gifts that support and further Fraternity leadership programs, provide scholarships, and support additional educational opportunities.
